Peripheral oedema
Peripheral oedema is the swelling of tissues usually in the
lower limbs, i.e. feet and ankles, due to the accumulation and retention of
fluids.
There are numerous causes that may lead to peripheral
oedema, with treatments ranging from water tablets to medication using
prescription drugs.
