Metaphors
A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase
that ordinarily means one thing is used to mean another.
Being a form of description by use of comparison, describing
one experience in terms of another, and by doing this it can specify ways of
thinking about the original experience.
This influences the meaning and importance of the
experience, the way it fits with other experiences, and actions taken as a
result.
