Embolism
An embolism is an obstruction in a blood vessel. An embolism
occurs when an object or objects move from one part of the body to another by
circulating through a blood vessel.
Blood clots form the most common material that causes
embolism. Other possible materials include fat globules and air bubbles (an air
embolism), to name a few.
