Stuttering
Stuttering, also known as stammering, is a speech disorder in which the words tend to get stuck and fail to be expressed smoothly and clearly. Sometimes there are long pauses between the words and the sounds that tend to create the most difficulty are those of vowels.
Stuttering can range in severity from just mild stuttering occasionally to an almost complete inability to speak in certain situations which are exacerbated by social anxiety. It should be noted, though, that the cause of stuttering has nothing to with intelligence.
