Eating disorders
An eating disorder refers to a way of eating, or not eating, which has a negative effect on one’s health. The most common eating disorders are anorexia and bulimia — although sometimes the two overlap — as well as compulsive over-eating or being compulsively attracted to eating foods that one has an intolerance to, such as peanuts or dairy products.
Most eating disorders are thought to be rooted in psychiatric conditions of one kind or another.
