Cholera
Cholera is an infectious disease that can be contracted through eating food or drinking water that has become contaminated with the cholera virus. Cholera symptoms include excessive diarrhoea and a rapidly dropping blood pressure and, at its most severe, it can lead rapidly to death, sometimes within hours.
Cholera is most rife in Africa, although there is also some risk of cholera in some Middle Eastern and central and southern Asian countries.
